Alpha release
The plain-English rules for using Whatify Money during alpha.
Whatify Money helps you explore educational money scenarios. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, credit, debt, or insurance advice. Scenario results are estimates, not guarantees.
Helps you compare educational ‘what if?’ scenarios using estimates and assumptions.
We do not recommend investments, tell you what financial decision to make, or guarantee results.
We collect limited information such as email, first name, product usage, and scenario inputs you choose to provide.
You are responsible for your own financial decisions. Use Whatify Money as a planning aid, not professional advice.
Welcome to Whatify Money. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) explain the rules for using our website, app, tools, calculators, scenario planning features, and related services.
These Terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Whatify Money (“Whatify Money,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), an early-stage educational financial scenario planning service operated by an individual based in Frederick County, Maryland. No separate company has been formed for Whatify Money yet, so your agreement is with that individual operator. If we form a company later, we will update these Terms and say so on this page.
By using Whatify Money, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Here is the simple version:
Whatify Money helps you explore financial “what if?” scenarios for educational purposes. You can compare possible paths, see estimated outcomes, and better understand tradeoffs.
Whatify Money does not provide financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice, credit counseling, debt settlement services, insurance advice, or recommendations about what you should do.
The numbers you see are estimates. They are not guarantees. Your real-life results may differ.
Most of Whatify Money is free. Some scenarios are sold together as a one-time pack. If you buy a pack, you can get a full refund within 14 days as long as you have not run a pack scenario.
You are responsible for your own financial decisions.
This summary is here to make the Terms easier to understand. The full Terms below are the official agreement.
Whatify Money is an educational financial scenario planning tool that helps users explore hypothetical situations, compare possible outcomes, and understand potential tradeoffs.
Examples may include scenarios such as:
Whatify Money is designed to support learning and planning. It is not a substitute for working with a qualified professional.
Whatify Money is provided for educational and informational purposes only.
We do not provide:
Any outputs, summaries, charts, comparisons, or scenario results are estimates based on the information provided and the assumptions used by the service.
You should not rely on Whatify Money as the sole basis for any financial, legal, tax, investment, debt, credit, insurance, or life decision. Consider speaking with a qualified professional before making major financial decisions.
Whatify Money is currently in alpha.
That means the service may be incomplete, change frequently, contain errors, or behave differently than expected. Features may be added, removed, paused, limited, or reset at any time.
During alpha, you should not rely on Whatify Money for permanent recordkeeping. If a scenario, result, or plan summary is important to you, save your own copy outside the app.
We may use alpha feedback and usage patterns to improve the product.
Most of Whatify Money is free to use. Some scenarios are sold together as a pack. Today the only pack is the Retirement Pack.
Price. A pack is a one-time purchase. The price is shown on the pack page before you buy, in U.S. dollars, plus any sales tax that applies where you live. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
Payment. Payments are collected by Stripe, our payment provider, on its own checkout page. We never see or store your card number. Stripe’s terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.
What you get. Buying a pack unlocks every scenario in that pack for your account. Any scenario we later add to a pack you own is unlocked for you at no extra cost. Access stays with your account and does not depend on any subscription.
Refunds. You can get a full refund within 14 days of your purchase, as long as you have not run any scenario in the pack. Running a pack scenario means you have used the pack, and the refund window closes at that point even if 14 days have not passed. The free scenarios never count as using a pack. To ask for a refund, email tom@whatify.money from the address on your account. Refunds go back to the card you paid with. If we refund a purchase, the pack locks again.
Roadmap items. Any other prices, plan names or paid features shown on the site describe what we are considering building. They are a preview, not an offer you can buy, and they may change or be dropped. Before we offer any other paid service, we will publish its own pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation and refund terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use Whatify Money.
Whatify Money is not intended for children or minors.
To use certain features, you may need to create an account or sign up for product updates.
You agree to provide information that is accurate enough for us to operate the service, contact you about your account, and improve the product.

Whatify Money is designed to collect limited personal information.
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
You should not enter sensitive information that the service does not request.
Please do not submit:
If you buy a pack, you enter your card details on Stripe’s checkout page, not on ours.
For scenario planning, we encourage using reasonable estimates instead of exact sensitive details.
Our use of information is described in our Privacy Policy.
We may use analytics tools to understand how people find, use, and interact with Whatify Money. This helps us improve the product, measure activation, understand scenario usage, and make better product decisions.
We may use your email address to send product updates, onboarding messages, feedback requests, and other messages about Whatify Money.
We do not sell your personal information.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. Some account-related or service-related messages may still be sent when necessary.
Scenario results are estimates based on the inputs, formulas, assumptions, and models used by Whatify Money.
Estimates, not guarantees. Scenario outputs are based on user-provided inputs and the formulas, default values, and assumptions disclosed for each scenario. A tool will identify any historical or third-party dataset it uses. Future results are unpredictable.
Actual outcomes may differ because of many factors, including income changes, expenses, debt terms, interest rates, inflation, taxes, market conditions, life events, user input errors, and changes in law or policy.
We may use simplified assumptions, rounded numbers, default values, or educational models. These assumptions may not reflect your exact personal situation.
We do not label any scenario as the best or the recommended choice for you. When a comparison shows one path producing a higher modeled result, that is an observation about the numbers you entered under the assumptions shown — not a recommendation to take that path.
You are responsible for reviewing the assumptions and deciding whether the results are useful for your own planning.
Using Whatify Money does not create a fiduciary, advisor-client, planner-client, attorney-client, accountant-client, tax professional-client, credit counselor-client, or other professional relationship.
We are not acting as your financial advisor, investment advisor, tax professional, attorney, accountant, credit counselor, debt advisor, or insurance advisor.
You agree not to misuse Whatify Money.
You may not:
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if we believe these rules are being violated.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, ideas, comments, or requests, you allow us to use them to improve Whatify Money without owing you compensation or creating any obligation to implement them.
We appreciate feedback, especially during alpha, but we may decide whether and how to use it.
Whatify Money, including its name, design, content, software, features, copy, visuals, models, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors.
You may use the service for your personal, non-commercial planning and education.
You may not copy, resell, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Whatify Money unless we give you written permission or the law allows it.

Those third-party services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
We aim to keep Whatify Money available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, outages, errors, infrastructure issues, security concerns, or other reasons.
During alpha, downtime and changes may happen more often.
